Firefox JQuery Mobile Pop Up Bug

September 12, 2013

From a Stackoverflow post,  I had found an answer to a question to which I had thought would be a JQuery Mobile bug, it turns out it is the web browser Firefox bug.

The problem was that when closing a JQuery Mobile pop dialog box, and opening a  new one, it didn’t seem to work at all on my code, this had been using without proper realisation that I did all the testing on Firefox. Turns out it did work on Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

To solve this , you need to set a time delay on opening the second popup dialog box which fixes the bug! Here’s the code to fix this bug.

                                              $(“#popupBox1”).popup(“close”);
                                              setTimeout(function(){
                                                $(“#popupBox2”).popup(“open”, { transition: “fade” });
                                              }, 3000);

popupBox2 now opens properly in Firefox!
