Do we need the aspx.designer.cs file?

November 14, 2013

The Designer.cs contains the declaration and initialization of UI controls and layout of form. The form is rendered based on the information provided in designer.cs. This file is autogenerate when a form is created in design mode. The question is do we need them? From what I have seen, no!! its an auto generated file which contains auto-generated code produced by the Win forms designer from the controls you drop on a form as i believe for the aspx cs file.

To reduce any slight overhead when loading the pages, you can remove these files, if you haven’t used the Win Form Designer.
